Subliminal Projects is pleased to announce participation in this year’s iteration of the JUXTAPOZ CLUBHOUSE, MIAMI. In partnership with Mana Contemporary, Juxtapoz Magazine will launch a full-neighborhood activation in downtown Miami with 7 storefronts featuring gallery presentations, installations, and more.

Miami local, tropical person and multidisciplinary artist, Kelly Breez teams up with Subliminal Projects to present ICE COLD MAGIC CITY, featuring new works, installations and a curated group exhibition of local artists, Serge Toussaint, Brian Butler, Simone Thorton.

Subliminal Projects will also present a POP-UP featuring works by Thomas Campbell, Ravi Zupa, Jillian Evelyn, David Cook (BONETHROWER), as well as select prints, books, and merchandise.

ABOUT KELLY BREEZ

Kelly Breez (b. 1985, Lake Worth, FL) Graduate with a BFA from the New World School of the Arts. Working mostly monochromatically, she weaves a sharp eye for subtle humor into her work, acting like a mirror to the absurdities of life. With an uncanny attention to detail and the likeness of a sponge, Breez naturally absorbs the nuances of the unpredictable tropical wasteland she calls home.

Subliminal Projects is a multi-functional project space and gallery established by Shepard Fairey and Blaize Blouin in 1995 as a way to introduce skateboard culture and design to the art world. The concept grew and found roots later in Los Angeles, at a time when many artists found themselves shut out by the “art scene.” Subliminal Projects emerged as a gallery that championed emerging and marginalized artists, built out of cultural importance to serve as a center for the community to openly express and spark dialogue about art, music and activism. Now located in the historic neighborhood of Echo Park, Subliminal Projects continues to offer a platform for artistic exploration and innovation.
